History and Particularities
The Barchetta is a compact convertible from Fiat. Developed between 1990 and 1994 under the name of project Type B Spider 176. It was designed by Andreas Zapatinas, Peter Barrett Davis and others in the Fiat Centro Stile, being the prototype made by Stola. Its design is a kind of fusion between the tradition of the old Fiat convertibles and modernism. One of its most notable features is its lever door opening knob.
The production started in February 1995. Its 131 horsepower / 96 kW engine has a displacement of 1.8 L, double overhead camshaft and hydraulically controlled valve actuation.
The traction is front. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.9 seconds and reaches the top speed of 190 km / h.
This specimen is in a collectible condition, it is only 68.000 km and it is completely original and with a complete mechanical overhaul. Air Condition and ABS.
